My reading

After the resolution of 'Pariah', Beta remains in Queen Mab and must choose between the Cognitae who raised her and the warring parties of Eisenhorn and Ravenor. Her investigation of the King in Yellow's ciphers brings her to angels, daemons and the Traitor Legions, and the answers about her own nature become part of a conspiracy that could shake the Imperium's foundations.
