My reading

More than ten years after the Tanith First took the heretic Sholen Skara, he escapes to Valens 160 and goes on spreading corruption. Squad Orpheus of the Iron Snakes pursues him across an infected world and must decide whether the planet can be saved, or whether duty requires the destruction of everything bound to the fugitive by blood.
