My reading

Work gangs beneath the hive of Formal Prime open a fissure through which warp-darkness seeps into reality, bringing madness and death. The authorities first wall the problem in and try to forget it, but twenty-two months on the fissure's influence has only grown. Three Iron Snakes descend to its source, and Basilion gives his life to seal the Fissure; five centuries later it is that seal which will be attacked in 'A Ghost Return'.
