Omen of Despair: Calistarius and the Patriarch — books on the story line

Calistarius and the Blood Angels First Company investigate Omen of Despair, where a Genestealer Patriarch with Navigator genes controls the ship’s warp jumps. Vespesario’s memory of an earlier boarding action and Sanguinius’s last battle distorted by the Black Rage are separate temporal layers, not present-day events of the Heresy. The vision of Calistarius’s future burial does not date the mission either. The exact era and year are unknown.
