The early Ghosts: recollections and Monthax — books on the story line

Monthax frames Ghostmaker’s recollections of Tanith’s destruction and the regiment’s early battles on different worlds. This is a campaign mosaic, not a single battle: chapter 1 is dated 765.M41 and chapters 2–11 approximately 765–768.M41. Reading it after First and Only does not place all of its recollections after the first novel.
