Cain: inspecting the islands after the comet — books on the story line

In The Bigger They Are, the 597th rests after suppressing a rebellion. A mysterious comet devastates an island chain on an unnamed planet; Cain accompanies the governor on an inspection and encounters a new danger. This is a separate field episode. The world, exact year and connection to other rebellions are not established; the numerical map position is navigational, not a date. The event title is editorial.
