The Lion’s return and the gathering of the Risen — books on the story line

The Lion’s return follows Camarth → Avalus → Sable → the meeting with Dante. Memories of Caliban and earlier Chapter books provide context, not a mandatory chain of prequels. Fallen who accept the Lion become the Risen; Seraphax’s warband drives the main conflict. News of the Lion’s return in the epilogue of Lazarus: Enmity’s Edge does not date that entire novel after these events.
