The Missing in Action case — books on the story line

A series of brutal hive-city murders leads Eisenhorn to people broken by the Imperium’s wars and a choice between compassion and the city’s safety. This is a standalone investigation by his early retinue, not another chapter of the Necroteuch conspiracy. The author’s chronology used here places the story in 241.M41, following Xenos. Born To Us may follow before moving on to Malleus; the story is not declared a mandatory prerequisite for every later case.
