Prodigal: Melusine’s return — books on the story line

During a daemon attack on the frigate Versalius, Fabius Bile saves Melusine, an early creation of his who has returned with a cryptic message. Melusine and Fabius are the focus of this episode; it is not Oleander Koh’s story. The author’s recommendation to read it before Clonelord concerns reading order, not a calendar year or immediately adjacent scenes. The main route is Fabius’s strand. The additional entry through The Emperor’s Children and Fulgrim preserves Fabius’s character route, without asserting III Legion unit participation in the attack.
